Precision Interface Electronics (P.I.E.) is pleased to introduce the new GM12-AUXV2 adapter that creates an auxiliary audio input in select XM Ready/CD Changer ready GM Class II radios. The GM12-AUXV2 has a built-in audio adjustment pot with an input sensitivity range of 0.475 volts to 4.75 volts (peak to peak) allowing the installer to match the audio level of the AUX device to the audio level of the AM, FM, or CD modes of the factory radio. The new part is compatible with the following GM radios.

How do I tell if it is monsoon sound system or not?I hot a 2002 Volkswagen GTI recently and the car has 8 speakers or so, 2 of which are tweeters. Sounds pretty good but no where close to my old car which had a fully done up aftermarket sound system and a nice 12" sub running 1000 peak W..... How do I tell if my GTI has a monsoon sound system or not? Do they have different number of speakers? a subwoofer somewhere in the trunk or under a seat? an amplifier somewhere that I couldn't find yet?

A Monsoon-equipped GTI should have an amplifier under the rear deck on the driver's side of the trunk. It should also display "Monsoon" on the radio display when it's turned on.
